Southend Fund Awards Evening Grant Recipients

Leigh Youth Theatre
In this clip Lynne Fyson of the Leigh Youth Theatre talks about what the organisation achieved with their Grassroots Grant of £4600.
SOS Bus
In this clip Carole Bastin explains how the grant from the Southend Fund has supported the essential work of the SOS Bus. She also introduces Thomas Carlile who talks about the other benefits particularly for the volunteers who develop new skills whilst working on the bus which, in some cases, have led to employment opportunities
Balmoral Community Centre
This clip shows Stephanie Stamp, a long serving member of the Balmoral Community Centre Committee. She talks with candour and passion about the challenges faced by the Community Centre and the fantastic support that they received from the Fund. This support was not simply financial but also gave them the confidence to continue their work at the centre helping them to go from strength to strength.
